T H E S T O R Y

SNOWY SPIRITS is a laid back, easy going, wild horse role play. The valley, Forgotten Vale, is a large, spralling valley, the size of six southern states put together. Forgotten Vale has seen absolutely no humans for over 200 years, though humans do exist and some horses have come wandering to the vale with pasts involving humans. There are human remains from Indian tribes before they disappeared. The horses are, for the most part, isolated and close to pure breeds. The common influence is Spanish Mustang, though Arabians and other Eastern influences do occur. There is mostly barb-like and other Spanish blood in the wild herds.

Life is based on light, neutral, and dark. So, yes, we do have divided alliances, and, yes, wars do and will break out among alliances, but no, the Vale is not ruled by 'light versus dark'. It is a peaceful haven, a refuge from the life beyond the vale. Isolated and simple, things couldn't be better for the wild horses of Forgotten Vale. Of course, that goes without saying anything about nature's way of controlling the population. The Vale is prone to serious weather issues. Wild Fires, Blizzards, Flash Floods, you name it. Nestled between large mountain ranges and even into the mountains, the problems grow depending on which end of the vale you reside in.

THE YEAR IS... 2010, still the vale fails to see a human. It is a mystery to Vale dwellers how there could be any such creature that they do not see it while every day refugees from the human world are wandering in, lost, alone, and confused. Everyone is living happily in the Vale, refugees recovering and such. Life is wonderful - until, one day, an erratic stranger makes their way into the Vale. Triumphant and smug this stranger poses as nothing more than a confusing mess to the Vale dwellers and is ignored. Dangerous as he is, none of them see it until it's too late. Always preaching, this stranger is, always telling a story of how one day the Vale will be found and they will all be caught.
