T H E R U L E S

ONE - this rule is probably the most important in the whole set. respect the admins. we're not here to make you miserable, in fact we want the exact opposite. we made this site and we made it mainly so people like you could have a fun place to roleplay, so please don't insult or even bash us. insulting is one thing, insulting and threatening (bashing) is even worse. we would never do it to you, so don't do it to us.

TWO - so number two is very similar to the first. respect your fellow roleplayers. we hate it when people take the rp fights to real life and start unnecessary arguments about whether or not your character did something that was justified. it's stupid and very immature. so please, keep the fights to the threads, no one wants to see them. and i don't want to deal with them.

THREE - when signing up for this site, you may register however you like. We don't do the account per character rule. However, we admins are strict about characters. If you cannot keep your characters active, offer some up for adoptions of PM an admin to send them to the graveyard.

FOUR - this site does have a word count. and that number is 150 words. i don't want to go overboard for those new to roleplayers, so that will be the limit, but i would like to ask that you at least try to match the word count of the person you're roleplaying with. if they stick you with a 1000+ word reply and you can't handle that, i'll understand. but don't just give them a dainty little two paragraph reply either. just try to match your rp partner's posts, that's all i ask.

FIVE - Snowy Spirits is PG13. No mature posts will be tolerated. No if's and's or but's. Mature content is against proboards TOS and we shall abide by that TOS.

SIX - now, about this little thing we love to call, the cbox. i would love it if you did the following. or, more or less, didn't do the following. do not spam, advertise in or bash the site/members of this site in the cbox. if it's a member that is doing this, i will confront you about it. if it continues, i will take action. all advertising should be done in the forum designated for advertising. and spamming, well it's just not nice. the cbox is there specifically for communicating with other members and guests. not for your random typing pleasures. the third part of this rule coordinates well with the second rule. if i find people harassing other members or even guests harassing members, i will do something about it. so just please, don't do it.

SEVEN - all ic posts should be typed up in third person, unless of course it's an ic game then it doesn't matter. but, i've seen some pretty weird things and third person just makes it so much easier for everyone, don't ya think? First person posts will be accepted if it's the absolute best way to portray your character, however, please don't over do the first person posts. These can be too easily miss-construed as rper vs. rper instead of character vs. character.

EIGHT - NO GOD MODDING! if i find this, i will give you a warning. if it continues after that warning, i will suspend your account. it's rude and if you don't know what it is, then look it up.

God Modding- pretending you are above others. Character being portrayed as a god-like figure.
Power Playing - 'bob bit sally and drew blood'.

NINE - onto those gorgeous graphics everyone loves so much. all icons must be 150x200, makes everything look prettier. you at least need that, but, if you're having a signature, it may not exceed 400 pixels in width and 200 in height. what does this mean? you are not allowed to stretch the board! that's what that means.

TEN - We don't require that your character be accepted however we do ask that you create a biography board and keep all your characters there. Characters not kept in a biography board will not be acknowledge or listed in the totals for the site.

ELEVEN - plot with people, if you see that someone has a plot request up and no one has replied to it, then you reply to it. one, it's a nice thing to do and who knows, you might just come up with a kick ass plot. and two, it'll help draw new members in. if they see that people are willing to plot with others, well okay it won't automatically make them join. but it will help their decision.

TWELVE - Please keep yourself active or post in the away boards if you're going in-active.

THIRTEEN - Breeding - well, nothing explicit, i.e. detailed. Just 'so and so, and so and so' type stuff, thank you.

FOURTEEN - Fighting is a bit more complex. Fighting over land will be judged by two or more un-involved admins/mods/gmods/etc. Fighting to steal a mare, colt, filly, etc. will be judged by one of more admint/mod/gmod/etc. Plot fights will be judged as though they were land thefts. post a challenge in the herd board, role play with the challenged stallion/mare and THEN create a fighting thread for the battle.

FIFTEEN - More fighting? That's right. Minimum of THREE posts per character per fight. No more than four attacks and two dodges per post. No power playing or god modding. Introduction posts (the first 'so and so enters the land' posts) do not count towards your minimum post count.

SIXTEEN - Foals. No control, however, for twins you MUST contact an admin. Twins are rare. Triplets do NOT exist. Age your adults WITH the foals.

SEVENTEEN - Liquid time, well, it doesn't occur in nature, but, hell, this is an RPG, so it exists here. Just don't over-do it. If your character dies in one thread, don't make new threads. Just finish the rest of their threads.

EIGHTEEN - Please post ALL posts in size 1 font. the code for this is [*size=1] your text here [/size*] just remove the * or select the AA icon and change the automated 2 into a 1. Thank you.

NINETEEN - please blockquote all posts IC at LEAST once. the code for this is [*blockquote] your text here [/blockquote*]. You can also select the text and hit the icon with the arrow pointing to the right. Justify all text IC! [*justify] your text here [/justify*]. It'll make the site pretty. Sorry, there's no icon for this.
